How a PPS GPS appears on the web interface

    The web interface displays additional information when a PPS GPS (either older style or new cape) appears.

    PPS indicator

    The live date display shows a flashing green PPS present when the GPS is generating the PPS pulse.
    This can take several minutes to appear as it requires a fix on 3 or 4 GPS satellites.

    The sync accuracy indicates how much correction to the system clock is still required.  This is not currently
    a very good estimate of true clock accuracy.

    PPS GPS in the Device List

    For the GPS cape, the device list shows this:

    The older style PPS GPS will appear as a device attached to the USB Hub, like this:
