From $1

    Table of contents
    No headers

    WARNING:  Make sure to activate the device with your ISP on a Windows PC or a Mac before plugging it into a sensorgnome.  Otherwise, you might end up with huge service charges from your ISP.  The plan and pricing details can be seen on the Bell website here.

    This page describes methods intended for developers, not end users.  A version for end users is in the works.

    This device requires the following files:

    /etc/chatscripts/provider:

    ""           ATZ
    OK           AT+CGDCONT=1,"ip","inet.bell.ca"
    K            ATDT*99#

    /etc/ppp/peers/provider:

    connect "/usr/sbin/chat -v -f /etc/chatscripts/provider"
    /dev/ttyUSB0
    9600
    noipdefault
    usepeerdns
    defaultroute
    persist ## maybe - will depend on whether scheduled connections are desired
    noauth

    /usr/share/usb_modeswitch/1410:5059:

    TargetVendor=  0x1410
    TargetProductList="7031,7042"
    MessageContent="5553424312345678000000000000061b000000020000000000000000000000"
    NeedResponse=1

    The connection is then established by the shell command:

    pon
    ifconfig ppp0 up ## not sure why pon doesn't do this automatically

    (The usb-modeswitch and ppp packages must be installed.)
